I love that you're highlighting nutritional psychology. The company I started was inspired by the Brain Food Clinic and the upcoming research around neutraceuticals. We were trying to package nutrient dense food, created from research like this and packaged in a way that was convenient for exhausted parents, to help children with Autism and ADHD.
thank you. And so powerful that you're sharing the same ideas here. I also loved Uma Nadoo's book, and there's so much happening in this field that everyone deserves to know about. Thank you for bringing it up.
I love the information, but it really only helps people that have the resources to make these changes to their diets. Until it's more available, it's not attainable for many people and runs an increased risk of elitist or shaming behavior. "Have you tried eating better and exercising?" is all too familiar.
I know! One thing that astonished me about the mental health system is how infrequently we discussed my diet and what I was putting in my body. It's thrown around in the media too much and in a shaming way, but psychiatry needs to do more with it.
Thank you for sharing this resource! I've been hearing a lot about the Gut-Brain connection recently, but I had no idea that Nutritional Psychiatry was a specialty.

Oooh, she'd be great to interview for Cured. Thank you!

Agree. There are larger systems at play which makes good quality foods more widely accessible.

I wish I'd known much sooner!
I love this topic and regularly listen to experts on the topic. Can’t wait to listen to this one. Thanks Sarah for bringing Drew to our community.
50 Shades of Kale made me chuckle!
I know. I love that. Sorry it took me so long to respond!
