🎧 Listen to the interview:
Lisa Guardiola was diagnosed with schizophrenia in 2004 and has been living with it for seventeen years. She’s the community outreach and education trainer for the Sertoma Center and the vice president of NAMI South Suburbs of Chicago, where she leads educational and training initiatives. She’s also a writer for Web MD. You can find her articles here.
She and I met during a peer certification course. Peers are those of us with lived experience of mental illness who’ve since recovered or are recovering, who help others on their journey to recovery. Lisa is doing that.
Please enjoy my interview with Lisa Guardiola and listen as she shares her wisdom and experience of navigating psychosis.
